This mat absolutely reeks of, what I can only describe as, road kill.
I can't bring it into the house with the smell. It's a pungent sour/feces stench.
I've tried washing it down and airing it out outside for hours. The smell hasn't lightened at all. Just the breeze off it makes me and my nearly nose blind husband gag.

Matify Mat
I’m very pleased with the workout mat. It has great grip for me feet and makes Pilates a breeze. It does have a slight plastic odour upon removal from the package, but wiping the mat down and airing it for a day took care of that. Well worth the price.

Smelly matts
A few months earlier I purchased 2 of these mats delivery etc was fine , no issues. Regarding quality as far as functioning mat they excelled , the problem was the smell. The. Off gasing of the material was profoundly unpleasant ( stinky feet ) despite cleaning the smell could not be removed. Unfortunately I had no choice but to throw it out. My second matt was slightly better but not great.
Hopefully this was a one time occurrence.
